There are many ways to monetize your website. Whether you have a single blog about your favorite hobby or a blog empire on a wide range of topics, there are endless choices to earn income from your work. These choices can include directly selling your advertising space or using one of the many free services available like uContext.

Selling your ad space directly to advertisers can be very lucrative. This is especially true if your website already receives a lot of traffic. Your traffic numbers are very important in establishing rates that will likely exceed the income you could make from any other advertising option.

However, this is not a good option if you don’t have a lot of consistent traffic or you don’t want to hassle with managing your own advertising sales and service. Advertiser want to spend their dollars where they will get the best exposure. That takes traffic. Managing your own advertising can be very time consuming, especially if you have several websites and many ad spaces within each.

If managing your own advertising is not practical, uContext maybe the right option for you. The uContext widget delivers in-text affiliate links to Clickbank products and services. Because in-text links are in the body of your content, they are not as flashy as banner ads and text blocks, and are less likely to be ignored. Clickbank is one of the most popular affiliate systems and has more than 12,000 products and services in almost every category you can imagine.

uContext has one very important feature. It delivers ads contextually. Contextual advertising evaluates the content of your web page and tries to display ads closely related to your web page’s topic. Because these targeted ads are more likely to interest your visitors, your click-trough rates and sales conversions rates are more likely to be higher.

Contextual advertising is a powerful way to deliver ads that might interest your visitors. There are many services that provide targeted ads of this type. However, there is a subset who’s specialty is in-text links. And, each of those services have subtle differences that provide many alternatives depending upon your needs. If you’re looking for an alternative to Kontera, please read on…

In-text links are ads right in the body of your content. Instead of the flashy and noticeable banner ads and text block we’ve become desensitized to, in-text links are subtle. These services identify keywords and phrases that best match available advertisements and turn them into links.

Kontera is well established provider of in-text advertisement services. But, there are Kontera alternatives such as uContext. Instead of making a couple dollars here and there, why not make $20 or more for each conversion.

uContext can be a more economical and lucrative alternative. Not only does it offer free starter memberships, but it’s in-text contextual advertisements are sourced from the Clickbank Marketplace. Another great feature is the 50%-75% average commission rate on sales generated from your website. That’s usually $20 or more per sale for you.

Clickbank is one of the most popular affiliate systems and has more than 12,000 products and services in almost every category you can imagine. uContext joins the popularity of Clickbank with the power of in-text contextual advertising.

Its probably safe to say by now that contextual advertising is an extremely powerful tool in any Internet marketing strategy. The most well know company to provide contextually matched ads is Google. Entire businesses rely on Google’s ability to match ads with related search results and content.

Unfortunately, you’re stuck with the rules and limitations that Google and other alternatives have. What if you want to link directly to affiliate programs of your choice? Maybe you just need a little more control to add an extra line of text to describe your offer, or more freedom with the look and feel. How about a complex advertisement with title, video, text, and link all in one? Or, maybe you just want an automatic way to identify key-phrases in your content and turn them into embedded affiliate links to Clickbank products.

All these problems and more are why I created uContext. The uContext contextual engine was designed to deliver ads, links, and HTML content of ANY design and origin into or next to the content on your web pages. uContext makes no assumptions about your website, and makes no more rules than is necessary to provide quality results to you. This is contextual advertising your way.

uContext is now offering free trial memberships with full access to all the contextual advertising and content delivery features. We provide plug-ins for WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla so you can get results in a matter of minutes. We even have a generic PHP library for custom CMS integration.

Give uContext a try!

We know that contextually targeted advertising has higher click through rates and are more likely to land a sale. We also know that links embedded in the content of your website have higher click rates than traditional blocks of advertising and links in the sidebars. In most cases, the technology that provides quality contextual matching is technically challenging. And, all the services that provide contextual delivery are restricted to their are own ad networks, which means you have little customization or the ability to upload your own ads and content.

I’ve created my new service uContext.com to make delivering contextual ads, content, and links easier and more accurate without making assumptions about how you should use it and where. You can mass upload ads, content, and URLs of your choice to be contextually delivered to your website pages. You can also turn on the In-Text feature for affiliate links to contextually matching Clickbank products.

I’ve had the contextual engine running for a little more than 2 months on a couple of my own content sites. A lot of refinement in contextual matching and delivery speed has already been made. I don’t expect any major issues with the system at this advanced point in development. And, I’ve taken special steps to make sure that any issues uncovered on the server-side don’t trickle down to customer websites. And, in the worst case scenario, the service is very easy and quick to disable.

What I’d like from beta testers is a fresh look at how uContext.com works using their own medium-to-large content websites. I need help smoothing out the possible kinks that I probably can’t see because of my familiarity with the system. I’m also looking for a sanity check on the current features, and any suggestions on features to make the service better and/or easier.

Integration into your website is easy. I have plug-ins for WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla. I also have a generic PHP library you can use in custom implementations. Help documentation is available, and I’m working on additional screencasts.

Who am I and what the heck do I know? I’ve been a professional software engineer since 1992. I’ve been building high performance, database-driven, Internet applications since 1996, primarily with PHP and MySQL. I co-locate and administrate my own servers less than 2 miles from my home in a WindStream hosting facility. I’m owner of Summit Media Concepts LLC and I’ve been focusing on Internet Marketing for the past 5 years. My focus is to create real, useful, and quality Internet services. No gimmicks or promises to good to be true.

In return for your help I’d like to give you free access to the service for 6 months on as many as 3 websites. If you’re interested, please fill out my contact form and include 1-3 URLs of sites you’d be willing to use with uContext.com. And, as always, please feel free to ask any questions.
